Celebrating Colnaghi Elliott Master Drawings - a newly founded collaboration between Colnaghi and Elliott Fine Art - our inaugural exhibition Works on Paper: 1800-1950 presents a selection of important and newly discovered drawings in the iconic Colnaghi London library and gallery. Colnaghi Elliott aims to combine Colnaghi's venerable tradition of handling the most art historically significant works on paper with Elliott Fine Art's focus in bringing to the fore fascinating and significant works by lesser-known figures. This first exhibition is comprised of many works which fits this mould, including a magnificent head study by Jean-Bernard Duvivier, an outstanding Jean-Léon Gérôme drawing from the artist’s first trip to Egypt in 1855 and a striking portrait by the captivating Magda Nachman.
